Better Purpose works with organisations that want to make a difference to education outcomes all over the world. We provide support with strategic planning, operational effectiveness, and the design and delivery of education initiatives.
Founded by Cate Noble and Alice Cornish, two passionate and experienced education professionals, Better Purpose brings insight, expertise and practical delivery experience to important issues in the international education sector. We have developed successful educational initiatives all around the world, including in the UK, US, Middle East, North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, India, Latin America and South-East Asia.

OUR PROJECTS
STRATEGY
We worked with a leading education charity in the United States seeking to develop a new service offering for the global education reform sector. In order to help them define their new strategy, we analysed the market demand for their offering and defined a model and roadmap for how they could take it forward in the sector.

For a national government agency, we developed a strategy for establishing effective governance for quality assurance of educational institutions across the country. As part of this, we analysed the current landscape for quality assurance, international examples of good practice and then presented options and recommendations for the agency to consider.
OPERATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS
We supported a prominent education organisation in the UK to develop a new operating model for their business. To support this process, we defined different operating model options and assessed these options against the organisation's vision and criteria for success. We also provided coaching and support to the leadership team to implement the new operating model.
DESIGN
We are currently supporting a coalition of charity and philanthropic partners to design and deliver a state-wide foundational literacy and numeracy programme in India.
We supported a project for a government client in the Middle East to design a concept for two higher education institutes specialising in arts-related disciplines. This was part of a national initiative to broaden access to arts and culture in the country.
DELIVERY
We provided project oversight, support and quality assurance for a large-scale girls’ education programme in Africa. The project works with over 90 schools, and seeks to improve literacy and numeracy for over 18,000 marginalised girls. A key part of our role was developing a sustainability plan setting out a roadmap for government take-over of the initiative over time.
